The Lake Nelson Academy Student Association is an organization conducted by high School students and supervised by the advisor. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.
The mission of the LNAA Student Association is to promote involvement, ownership, leadership, and stewardship in our school. Students will learn the democratic process, the appropriate ways to affect change, and develop their ability to interact with the adults in our school and community. These students will represent God as well as the student body here at Lake Nelson Adventist Academy.
We want students to dig into the Word and apply biblical principles to their lives.
We want students to develop a loving relationship with God and each other, one that is built on trust, respect, and support.
We want students to discover their passion for ministry and engage in acts of service.
Reasons why you should join your student council:
- It develops your leadership skills
- It helps you see beyond schoolwork
- It teaches you the value of teamwork
- It gives you a network of opportunities
- It lets you give back to the community
