The Lake Nelson Adventist Academy elementary school operates under the premise that all children are created in the image of God, are uniquely formed and all learn. Following the redemption principle, we nurture the spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional development of each child. Our qualified and certified staff roots our students with core knowledge of language arts, math, and inquiry-based science. We endeavor to work as a team through school and home to develop the character and his abilities. “To restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose in his creation might be realized—this was to be the work of redemption. This is the object of education, the great object of life.” Ellen G. White, “Education”.

Train Up A Child …
The elementary years at LNAA lay the foundation to lead students to Jesus while receiving a Christ-centered academic education that empowers them to achieve their full God-given potential.

God First …
The fall and spring Week of Prayers highlight the spiritual emphasis of all that is done at LNAA.
During our spiritual revival, our students write prayer petitions which are burned at the end of the week. The students witness their petitions ascend as sweet incense to God.

Research …
On a yearly basis, either through science or history, LNAA chooses a theme that students will study in-depth and apply a spiritual connection to.
Through this investigative project-based process of learning, LNAA prepares and engages students to research, analyze, evaluate, write, and present their findings.

Music
Starting in Kindergarten students are taught violin and progress through the elementary years to wind instruments in preparation for orchestra and band.

S.T.E.M.
LNAA uses the online platform CoderZ as one of the approaches to teaching students coding and robotics.

M.A.P.
Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) is a computerized adaptive / personalized test aimed to measure student growth over time. The test is offered in the fall and spring.

Staying Active …
LNAA strives to maintain a regular balance of physical activity to strengthen the students’ academic and emotional wellbeing.
Students take part in daily scheduled playtime and regularly scheduled physical education classes.
